Constantinos Stephanopoulos served as President of the Hellenic Republic from 10 March 1995 – 12 March 2005. On August 13, 2004, he, the first Head of State as President of the Hellenic Republic, officially declared open the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad in Athens, Greece. Accompanied by Adjutant to the President of the Hellenic Republic Colonel Georgios Dritsakos of the Hellenic Air Force.
