Born Jane O'Brien, Jane Bryan was being groomed by Warner to become one of their leading ladies in the late 1930s when she met and married the love of her life, Justin Dart, head of the Rexall Drug empire. She retired from acting in 1940 at age 22, after which she became a philanthropist and arts patron.
