Hou Yong

Hou Yong is a Chinese filmmaker and cinematographer. He is perhaps best known for his collaboration with director Zhang Yimou, though he has worked with many of China's major directors. Like some of Zhang's other cinematographers (notably Lü Yue, whom Hou replaced), Hou has also moved into the directing world. In 2004, he directed Jasmine Women starring Zhang Ziyi. Hou began his career after graduating from the Beijing Film Academy in 1982 in the same class as Fifth Generation directors Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, and Tian Zhuangzhuang. Hou's early career was spent mainly on Fifth Generation projects, notably those of Tian, and Wu Ziniu. By the late 1990s, Hou began collaborating with Zhang Yimou for a series of films during Zhang's realist period.

侯咏，1960年9月26日出生于陕西西安，毕业于北京电影学院摄影系，中国内地摄影师、导演、编剧、制作人，上海戏剧学院教授、硕士生导师. 1984年，担任剧情片《9月》的摄影师，从而正式进入娱乐圈 。1986年，担任传记片《孙中山（上下）》的摄影师，而他也凭借该片获得第七届中国电影金鸡奖最佳摄影奖 。1991年，独立执导剧情片《天出血》，他则凭借该片获得第七届上海国际电影节评委会大奖 。1998年，担任剧情片《一个都不能少》的摄影师 。 2000年，担任喜剧片《幸福时光》的摄影师。2005年，执导历史剧《卧薪尝胆》，该剧获得第2届首尔国际电视节最佳长篇电视剧奖 。2007年，执导体育题材电影《一个人的奥林匹克》。2008年，执导年代剧《闯关东中篇》 。2012年，执导年代悬疑剧《愤怒的摄影师》 。2017年，担任剧情片《夜色撩人》的摄影师。
