She studied Theatre at the Drama School of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and German Literature at the Aristotle University. She did one year of postgraduate studies at the Drama Department of the Philosophy School of the University of Thessaloniki with the theatre expert Nikiforos Papandreou. She worked for eight years, alongside theatre, as a professor of German at the Technical Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, from which she resigned.
