Dieter J. Augustin is a German photographer and TV director. 1976 co-founder of the 1st photo gallery for avant-garde art in Hessen. From 1985 to 2015 he was employed at the WDR, working as camera operator and director. In the 1990s Augustin was guest lecturer at the University of Kassel, Germany. Not to be confused with the actor Dieter Augustin (1934–1989).
