Earl Carr Tingey is an emeritus General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to serve in the First Quorum of the Seventy in October 1990, where he served until he was designated emeritus status on October 4, 2008. He served in the Presidency of the Seventy from August 15, 1996, until August 1, 2008. In June 2001 he became the presiding president of the Seventy. After, he served as president of the Washington D.C. Temple from 2008 to 2011.
