Make-up director and actor Michael R. Thomas was well known for his special effects in films such as The Wolfen, The Wiz, Fatal Attraction, Ghostbusters I and II, and most recently, I Am Legend (2007). As an actor, sporting his own makeup creations, he played monsters or unusual characters.
