Travis Lazarus "Travie" McCoy is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is the co-founder and lead vocalist of the rap rock band Gym Class Heroes, which he formed in 1997 along with childhood friend Matt McGinley after the two became acquainted with East Coast punk rock scenes as teenagers. After one independent album, the group signed with Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group, to release their second album, The Papercut Chronicles (2005).
