Thurl Ravenscroft

Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft provided the long, rumbling 'They're Grrrrreeeat!' voice behind Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Tony the Tiger for more than five decades. He was also the uncredited vocalist for the song You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch from the classic Christmas television special How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, additionally, his voice can be heard in a great many of the Disney animated features. In 1937 he added his distinctive bass voice to the singing group, The Sportsmen Quartet, and regularly performed on the Jack Benny radio show
