Ramanand Sagar (born Chandramauli Chopra) produced and directed the longest-running religious television serial Ramayan, as well as Shri Krishna, Arzoo Hai Tu and Sai Baba. In 1950, he launched his own production company, Sagar Art Corporation, and has credits for over 50 Hindi movies, including blockbusters such as Insaniyat, Ghunghat, Paigham, Aangan, Geet, Baghavat, Lalkar, Kohinoor, Zindagi and Arzoo, to name a few.
