Producer, writer, director Guy Stuart Ritchie was 15 years old when he began his career as a runner (aka production assistant), investing his earnings into his first short film, The Hard Case (1995). Fame was achieved with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), which he wrote and directed. He is best known for British gangster films, and the Sherlock Holmes franchise starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law
