Phyllis Newman was a Tony Award-winning actress who was a fixture of New York theater for more than a half-century, a familiar game show panelist and a women’s health advocate and fund-raiser. She was known for Mannequin (1987), The Human Stain (2003) and One Life to Live (1968).
