Comic actor Joseph Frank Keaton was best known for his silent films, in which his trademark was physical comedy with a consistently stoic, deadpan expression, earning him the nickname 'The Great Stone Face'. Along with his talents as writer, producer and director, not only did Keaton do all his own stunts, but, when needed, he acted as a stunt double for other actors in the films.
