Beverly Tyler (born Beverly Jean Saul), at the age of 14 on a day trip to New York City with friends, accepted a dare to ask for an audition at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. She gave a spontaneous screen and voice test and was signed to contract that same afternoon. Beverly Tyler went on to work in over 30 motion pictures between 1943 and 1947, followed by guest appearances on various television series into the early 1960's
