After a stint in Boston's longest running comedy, Shear Madness, Alison Martin won a Regional Emmy Award for acting and was again nominated for another Regional Emmy for acting the subsequent year. She then appeared in numerous Off-Broadway plays and on Broadway in Neil Simon's Laughter On The 23rd Floor. After moving to L.A., she began her work in TV, film and commercials. She co-produced and acted in the comedy album, The Audio Adventurebook Of Big Dan Frater, which won the Hear Now Marktime Award.
