A former couple of lovers meets again at a hotel bar after 20 years: Martin is now married, has two sons and made a career in his father's company, even if the job doesn't make him happy, the internationally busy Fiona on the other hand, is single and constantly on the go. The once young love that sparked between the two during a summer was brought to an abrupt end by Martin's father when he suddenly quit Fiona, who was in the house as an au-pair. But the feelings have not gone out yet. They become a couple again - but only for a short time: When it turns out after a meeting with Martin's father that she had a short affair with Bernd before her romance with Martin, they go their separate ways for a while.
