On September 7, 2017, Mexico suffered an earthquake of magnitude 8.2 degrees. The most affected communities were in the states of Oaxaca and Chiapas, coinciding with being the most economically and educationally marginalized states. The media and the government turned their gaze for a couple of days to the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, where hundreds of thousands of homeless people, places of work, churches and educational centers are homeless. "Xhu" allows villagers and victims to tell their experience and narrate the social and governmental response they have received after the earthquake. The documentary covers different blocks in which the perspectives of the settlers and the constant conflicts they face to survive are known. The first block is focused on knowing how the events of the night of September 7 took place in the voice of each 8 characters that develop according to their work, educational, family and religious context
