Ein staubiger Wüsten-Landstrich, durch den sich ein Bundeswehrpanzer quält. Der verkaterte Martin dämmert im Innern des Fahrzeugs vor sich hin. Plötzlich knallen Schüsse, Granaten explodieren, mit einem Mal ist er hellwach - und mitten im Krieg ... Vor wenigen Stunden saß Martin noch beim Bier mit seinem besten Freund Maddel zusammen, der eigentlich als Soldat für diesen Auslandseinsatz vorgesehen war. Doch weil Maddel bald Vater wird, zieht Martin für seinen Kumpel in den Krieg.
