In 1977, Harry Burns and Sally Albright finds themselves thrown together on a roadtrip from Chicago to New York City, where Sally is beginning journalism school and Harry is starting a career. In the ensuing years following their trip, the pair experiences a series of chance encounters and develop a deep relationship, until they face the ultimate decision -- can men and women truly be friends?
