Ein Campingplatz irgendwo in der Schweiz, ein Ort voller Begegnungen und Regeln. Liebevoll nimmt die Regisseurin Elena Brotschi in ihrem Kurzfilm «Von Faltbooten und Heringen» die hiesige Ordnungsliebe aufs Korn. Es ist Juli, die Vögel pfeifen, doch wer sich auf dem idyllischen Campingplatz in «Faltbooten und Heringen» niederlassen will, muss einige Regeln befolgen. Abfallsünden sind genauso intolerabel wie ein zu kleiner Abstand zum Nachbarszelt. Dem fremdsprachigen Touristen Paolo mutet dieser Wahn etwas fremd an.
