Als das Schulmädchen Kate ihre Freundin verteidigt, wird sie von der Schule verwiesen. Um den Vorfall vor ihren Eltern zu verbergen, stellt sie sich krank. Prompt verliebt sie sich in den behandelnden Arzt, der nicht nur ihre plötzliche Krankheit heilt, sondern auch gleich seinen Patienten heiratet. Doch bald langweilt Kate das Leben einer Arztfrau. Also beschließt sie, heimlich ihre Highschool zu erwischen.
