Alfonso, hombre maduro que lucha por vivir éticamente desde su huerto ecológico, choca con su adinerada familia y en especial con su hermano, ex progre reconvertido en capitalista del ladrillo. Cuando su nieto nace, la misión de su vida se convierte (hasta la obsesión) en criarle lejos de la vacuidad burguesa de su materialista familia.
