The film is based on Győző Szabó's autobiographical novel of the same name, which tells the story of the two protagonists, a drug-addicted alpha male and a psychiatrist playing God, who are at odds with each other and become friends. The story recounts the most difficult years of the popular actor's life, a long years-long drug binge that ends with everything falling apart around Győző, who finally decides to enter rehab.
