Robert est un garçon extrêmement distrait mais philosophe. Selon lui tout s'arrange toujours. Néanmoins sa distraction est la cause de graves complications avec le mari de sa maîtresse, puis avec ses voisins. Mais Robert va et vient et ne s'aperçoit de rien puisque finalement tout s'arrange à son gré.
