In a mythical kingdom among the clouds, one young stable boy named James dreams on glory deeds following his older brother, a king's guard, and to catch the eye of little princess Stephanie. But when the kingdom falls under attack from air pirates, and horrified by the destruction, the King orders his most trusted advisor, the magician Aeschylus, to create a device to end all wars. The result is a a magical clock with the power to control time itself, to make years be reduced to seconds and a lifetime to pass in an instant. Refusing to wield such huge power, the King orders Aeschylus to destroy the clock and its plans. That night, however, the magician is killed by orders of evil sorceress Karnissa, who steals the clock and unleashes upon the kingdom a curse. As everyone grows old, James most embark on a race against time to safe his land, his love and the world from destruction.
Die ebenso durchtriebene wie schlaue Hofastrologin Karnissa hat den edlen König Francis in der Hand. Sie ist im Besitz einer magischen Uhr, die die Menschen seines Reiches schneller altern läßt. Einzig der junge und tapfere James, getragen von seiner Liebe zur schönen Prinzessin Stephanie, nimmt den Kampf gegen Karnissa auf. Um endlich Frieden zwischen seinem und dem Volk der Morlin zu stiften, konstruiert der Magier Aeschilus auf Geheiß des Königs eine Uhr, welche die Lebenszeit der Menschen beeinflussen kann. Die Hexe Karnissa stiehlt die Erfindung und beschleunigt damit drastisch den Alterungsprozeß der Schloßbewohner. Als das Heer des Königs von Karnissas Schergen gnadenlos vernichtet wird, macht sich der mutige Bedienstete James auf den Weg, die Uhr zu zerstören. Zur Belohnung winkt eine Hochzeit mit Prinzessin Stephanie.

К сожалению, страну эту раздирают бесчисленные войны, так как очень многим еще кажется, что только так они могут стать героями. Мудрый король повелевает изобрести самое мощное оружие, чтобы в страхе перед ним никто бы уже не посмел поднять руку с мечом или нажать на курок. Такое оружие изобретается — это устройство, позволяющее сжимать время. Люди ведь не хотят, чтобы жизнь их закончилась раньше, а старели бы они на год за один час.
