L'Atelier

La Ciotat, été 2016. Antoine a accepté de suivre un atelier d’écriture où quelques jeunes en insertion doivent écrire un roman noir avec l’aide d’Olivia, une romancière connue. Le travail d’écriture va faire resurgir le passé ouvrier de la ville, son chantier naval fermé depuis 25 ans, toute une nostalgie qui n'intéresse pas Antoine. Davantage connecté à l'anxiété du monde actuel, il va s’opposer rapidement au groupe et à Olivia, que la violence du jeune homme va alarmer autant que séduire.

Olivia, a well-known Parisian novelist, runs a writing workshop with a group of young people in La Ciotat, in the South of France. She is particularly intrigued by Antoine, a taciturn and not very sociable, young man. Antoine makes writing proposals that others consider shocking, and becomes the "black sheep" of the group. Olivia and Antoine seek escape from their daily lives by immersing themselves in an extreme right-wing ideology, and develop a relationship that is marked by attraction and repulsion.
