Inspektor Blomfield stellt einen Dieb, der beim Fluchtversuch mit dem Auto tödlich verunglückt. Dessen rauschgiftsüchtiger Bruder Johnny betritt kurze Zeit später, während Blomfield vor Ort ein einem Mordfall ermittelt, das Polizeirevier und droht sich und alle anderen mit einem Nitroglycerinfläschchen ind die Luft zu sprengen. Bis Blomfield, an dem sich Johnny eigentlich rächen will, im Revier eintrifft, haben seine Kollegen den Wahnsinnigen überwältigt.
