A reporter interviews Musidora about her next film: she wants to direct a film about toreadors but hasn't found the ideal artist yet. She goes to Spain, sees a bull race and notices a young "caballero en plaza" who would be an ideal artist if he would only accept the role. His name is Antonio Cañero . He is rich, owns beautiful horses, prize bulls and has no desire to leave all that for a movie-making career. He initially refuses the offer but, regretful, he publishes an ad in the paper so he can meet her again. Musidora comes back in an ugly disguise and Antonio turns her down again, even tries to drown and poison her. Unsuccessful, he tries to have her killed by a bull which ends up threatening him. Musidora rescues him. He is grateful and about to apologize when she receives a telegram reminding her that she must perform on the stage that evening. She leaves in a rush and arrives just in time for her show
