The only cloud in the bright existence of Glory Wharton and her grandfather Jed, a veteran of the Civil War, is the old man's drinking problem. After Jed disgraces himself by stumbling along in a drunken state during the Decoration Day parade, Glory decides to take action. Learning that the only way to cure her grandfather is to rid the town of its one saloon, Glory tricks the innkeeper's son "Sport" Morgan into taking her there. Here she feigns intoxication and acts in such a disgraceful manner that the authorities are aroused and Morgan's license revoked. When the truth is discovered, Glory is proclaimed a heroine, her grandfather is reformed and Glory's happiness is made complete when she marries the town minister, Bruce Crawford.
