In 1859, Tainui men Wiremu Toetoe and Hemara Te Rerehau took a trip on the Viennese scientific frigate Novara and returned to New Zealand with a gift from the Emperor of Austria — a printing press. This documentary retraces these men’s historic voyage and its impact on New Zealand.
