Sandra, widow of a debauched millionaire, goes to the coast to recover her beach house taken over by land grabbers. On the road she gives a ride to a couple of extemporaneous hippies. Assisted by the rabbula Dr. Carvalho, Sandra recovers the property and invites the hitchhiking couple to take on the role of caretakers. From then on, the couple gradually gets involved, physically and emotionally, with a gallery of unusual characters, including the widow herself.
