The film'The Brazilian' is an independent documentary that have been in production for the last 4 years due to being a labor of love. The film is about the rise of a major ballroom dancer and choreographer Carlinhos de Jesus. Born in the poor outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Carlinhos raised into stardom just by following his dreams and by dancing through every challenge live has thrown his way. From his mother's suicide to the lost of his only son to a violent crime,. Carlinhos is an exemple of how looking at life as a journey to better yourself and leave your mark can make a difference. The film send an important message specially in the difficult times the country of Brazil is going through.
