The Bamiyans is an unpopular three-member rock band. The band members have totally different personalities, but share the same passion for rock. Reika (Mayuko Arisue), the lead singer, is a powerful woman and often overbearing with the others. Her vitality and cheerfulness leads the band. Zaki (Asaya Kimijima), the drums and songwriting, is somewhat offbeat and goes his own way. Not clever in any way, but always cool and a shrewd onlooker of the band. Taku (Tetsuya Makita), the guitar and lyrics, is a man of passion. He's enthusiastic about everything, but always ends up just spinning his wheels. These three get together and talk at the izakaya, the Japanese-style pub, have a quarrel at the studio and compete with another band to find their love for rock and dreams for the future.
락은 소울이다! 특별할 것 없는 평범하지만 음악에 대한 나름의 철학과 열정이 대단한 바미안즈 3인방 기타리스트 타쿠, 보컬 레이카, 드럼 자키.. 음악의 진정성에 대해 언제나 열띤 토론을 하지만 언제나 이견을 좁히지 못하고 해체와 재결성을 반복한다. 한편 독특한 코스프레의 네크로포비아 보컬 유다는 연일 실패하는 오디션에 속이 타들어가는데... 어느날 레이카는 작다면 작은 50만엔짜리 복권에 당첨되고 그 기념으로 멤버는 다시 모여 마음껏 먹고싶은 음식을 먹고.. 남은 돈으로 무엇을 할 것인가 궁리하다 미국에 가보자는 타쿠의 별 생각 없는 말 한마디에 모두들 처음으로 의견이 일치한다 돌아오는 여비는 노상공연으로 해결! 내일을 걱정하기보다 오늘의 행복을 즐기는 것이 진정한 락의 정신이라는 케이코의 말에 처음으로 이견없이 그들은 미국으로 떠난다.
