A költő állandó, rossz kedélyállapotban van és erős gyomorpanaszoktól szenved. A karrierje hajnalán járó analitikusnő bizonyítani akar, hogy József Attila kiszámíthatatlan és olykor félelmetesen tolakodó jelleme ellenére is, képes meggyógyítani őt, ám nem számol a költő egyre mélyülő, romantikus érzéseivel.
