(سالم) مزارع بسيط، يحب بنت قريته (بدور) ويريد الزواج منها كما يوجد بعض الطماعين فى أرضه، تقع في يديه رسالة يظن أنها مكتوبة إلى حبيبته، لكن الحقيقة أنها مكتوبة من حبيبته، التي يحبها (غوار) ويعود من المهجر، وقد حمل عقد اللؤلؤ من أجل حبيبته.
