Premonition

Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) tiene una casa preciosa, un marido que la quiere y dos hijas adorables. Su vida es perfecta, hasta que recibe una devastadora noticia: su esposo Jim (Julian McMahon) ha fallecido en un accidente de coche. Es lo peor que le podía pasar a esta amante esposa y madre. Pero, ¿se lo ha imaginado? Al despertarse a la mañana siguiente, Linda descubre que su marido sigue vivo. En un principio, Linda cree que el accidente ha debido de ser una pesadilla... hasta que ocurre de nuevo. Algunos días Jim sigue a su lado cuando se despierta, pero otros debe enfrentarse a la realidad de haberse quedado viuda. Por alguna razón inexplicable, los días están desordenados. La traumática premonición de Linda desencadena una serie de extraños sucesos que alteran el tiempo. Su mundo está patas arriba y estas circunstancias surrealistas hacen que descubra que su vida quizá no era tan idílica como parecía. En un intento desesperado por salvar a su familia, Linda lucha furiosamente contra el tiempo y el destino para intentar conservar todo lo que ella y Jim han construido juntos.

Der Tag ist für Linda Hanson völlig normal verlaufen, bis ein Polizist an ihrer Tür klingelt. Mit der Nachricht vom Unfalltod ihres Mannes Jim bricht für die zweifache Mutter eine Welt zusammen. Traumatisiert schläft sie ein, nur um am nächsten Tag einen noch größeren Schock zu erleben: Jim sitzt quicklebendig am Küchentisch. Zunächst glaubt Linda geträumt zu haben, doch am Morgen darauf ist sein Tod wieder grausame Realität. Als sich Déjà-vu-Vorfälle häufen, erkennt Linda, daß ihre Erlebnisse offenbar nur die Visionen von Ereignissen sind, die erst in der Zukunft geschehen werden. Aber kann sie Jims Tod verhindern?

Jim and Linda Hanson are married with two daughters, Megan and Bridgette, but their relationship is faltering. Jim is away on a business trip and Linda has just listened to a phone message from him when Sheriff Reilly knocks on the door and informs her that Jim died in a car accident the previous day. Linda's mother Joanne arrives to help the family, and Linda falls asleep on the living-room couch. The next morning she wakes up in bed and goes downstairs to find Jim drinking coffee and watching TV. While on the road, Linda is pulled over by Sheriff Reilly, who doesn't recognize her.

Alt i Linda og Jims liv er idyllisk, inntil Linda en morgen får beskjed om å at Jim er omkommet i en ulykke. Men morgenen etter sitter Jim på kjøkkenet og spiser frokost, og Lindas virkelighet begynner å rakne i sømmene.
