Planet of the Apes

Drei Astronauten überleben den Raum-Zeit-Sprung durch das All - 2000 Jahre in die Zukunft. Doch nur Taylor erfährt nach der Notlandung das schreckliche Geheimnis dieses Planeten. Warum werden die eingeborenen Menschen von der herrschenden Affen-Zivilisation wie Tiere gejagt? Warum enden seine beiden Freunde im Versuchslabor der Gorillas? Eine verkehrte, fantastische Welt, in der es Taylor schließlich gelingt, das Vertrauen der jungen Schimpansin Dr. Zira und des Affen-Archäologen Cornelius zu gewinnen. Doch zunächst ist er auch in ihren Augen ein Tier, von dem die Affen abstammen. Und der Führer des Affen-Staates, der Orang Utan Dr. Zaius, macht gnadenlos alle Hoffnungen der Menschheit auf diesem Planeten zunichte. Denn nur er kennt die schreckliche Wahrheit, die unter dem Staub von Jahrtausenden in der "verbotenen Zone" begraben liegt...

Trójka amerykańskich astronautów ląduje na planecie do złudzenia przypominającej Ziemię. Okazuje się, że rządzą tam inteligentne małpy, natomiast zdziczali ludzie traktowani są jak zwierzęta. В 3978 году космический корабль землян терпит крушение на далекой планете. Выжившие в катастрофе астронавты удивляются, как она похожа на их дом. Вскоре они узнают, что планета населена разумными обезьянами и деградировавшими до животного состояния людьми. Обезьяны захватывают астронавтов в плен, но после продолжительных пыток один из них совершает побег вместе с симпатичной девушкой-шимпанзе, которая открывает ему страшные тайны.

Taylor and two other astronauts come out of deep hibernation to find that their ship has crashed. Escaping with little more than clothes they find that they have landed on a planet where men are pre-lingual and uncivilized while apes have learned speech and technology. Taylor is captured and taken to the city of the apes after damaging his throat so that he is silent and cannot communicate with the apes.
