Das kleine Dorf auf der Ostalb liegt in den letzten Zügen; nur noch eine Handvoll Menschen sind übrig geblieben. Deshalb hat Gastwirt Maslow einen gewagten Plan ausgeheckt: Ufo-Sichtungen sollen dafür sorgen, dass der beschauliche Ort so berühmt wird wie Roswell in New Mexico. Die Ereignisse nehmen zwar einen völlig anderen Verlauf, doch der absurde Plan geht am Ende tatsächlich auf.
