Gastwirt Hannes ist ein großzügiger, freigiebiger und spendabler Kleingastronom. Das macht ihn überaus beliebt bei seiner Frau und der anspruchsvollen Familie und auch bei seinen Gästen, die er munter anschreiben lässt. Selbst die Pfarrerin weiß, dass sie jederzeit auf seine Großherzigkeit zählen kann. Merkwürdigerweise fragt sich außer Oma Johanna niemand, wie das kleine, unrentable Gasthaus eigentlich so viel Geld abwerfen kann. Erst als in der Gegend vermehrt Falschgeld in Umlauf gerät und Polizist Otto immer eindringlicher ermittelt, nimmt das Unglück seinen Lauf. (Text: NDR)
