幼なじみで青春時代をともに過ごした富井ヒロトと金森は、ある事件をきっかけに別々の人生を歩むことに。数年後、暴力団・菅原組の構成員となった富井は組長に認められて組織で頭角を現し、いつしかそこが彼の居場所となっていた。一方、金森は荒くれ者たちが集まる犯罪組織でケンカや裏家業に明け暮れており、菅原組もうかつに手を出せないほどの異名をとどろかせていた。かつて親友だった富井と金森は、一触即発の敵対関係となってしまう。
