يبحث ربيع عن عمل بعد خروجه من الاصلاحية، ويلتقي بأحد أصدقائه الذي كان معه بالإصلاحية ويلحقه بأحد الأوكار التي تعمل في القمار، إحدى الغانيات ترمى شباكها عليه إلا أنه يصدها، ويضيق بهذا المجال، ويتزوج وينجب أطفالًا، لكنه سرعان ما يعود إليه من جديد بعد مرض أبنائه.
