Eunjung is faced with a series of harsh realities—her company informs her of a non-renewal of contract, she has no savings to fall back on, and her mother, who raised her alone in the countryside, is suddenly hospitalized after a serious accident. Just when it seems life couldn’t be more unforgiving, she narrowly avoids falling victim to a phishing scam—thanks to the unexpected help of Dohee, a rebellious high school student.
As a gesture of gratitude, Eunjung buys Dohee a meal, marking the beginning of an unlikely connection between two very different lives. When Eunjung later sees Dohee being assaulted by a group of delinquents, she steps in and brings her home, unable to turn a blind eye.
Though their first encounter was far from ideal, Eunjung—tired of simply surviving—slowly begins to open up. Through Dohee’s honesty and carefree spirit, she learns to see life with more agency and ease.
