Myth: The Rise And Fall Of Orpheus is a modern retelling of the Ancient Greek tale of Orpheus and the underworld, looking at mental illness and addiction in society. More specifically, it explores the rock music business, with a storyline with echoes of the tragically short lives of some of music’s brightest stars, including Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse. Performed Live at the other Palace. The story follows Orpheus who wants to become a successful singer and musician in his band along with his friends Jason and Theseus. However, Orpheus also has severe mental health problems that his girlfriend Eurydice begs for him to seek help for. But soon three mischievous characters get inside his head to seek fame and fortune which leads to disaster.
