Ein Team der DDR - "Intermode" Leipzig fliegt zu einem Festival der Haute Couture in ein exklusives Mittelmeerbad. Es wird begleitet von Thomas Ahrens einem Modejournalisten, und von Otto-Fritz Haselhuhn, seines Zeichens Fotograf. Mit ihnen im Flugzeug sitzt ein französischer Padre, der Thomas zum Verwechseln ähnlich sieht. Noch ahnt keiner, was das für turbulente Folgen haben wird, denn der Padre ist ein begehrter Modeschöpfer, der inkognito reist.
