Bernard est un homme sans histoire qui emménage dans un nouvel appartement. Son installation tranquille est soudain perturbée par la découverte d’un trou dans son plancher. Il s’aperçoit rapidement qu’il peut espionner l’intimité de sa voisine. Il résiste dans un premier temps, avant de basculer dans l’obsession, perdant à la fois la raison et le fil de sa vie.
