In January 1865, President of the United States Abraham Lincoln is hoping the American Civil War will end soon, with the defeat of the Confederate States of America. With a nation divided by war, politics, and ideology, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, but also to pass the 13th Amendment which will permanently abolish slavery and unite a nation.
