LHR is a highly atmospheric visual and musical study of London's Heathrow airport when Boeing's 747 Jumbo Jets had just arrived, in 1971, revolutionising air travel. The film, beautifully photographed and carefully edited and dubbed, begins at dawn at the deserted airport, and continues throughout to the following morning, at which point the astonishing differences and similarities of all airlines, and how they are coped with, have been fully revealed - all set to beautiful music and actual sounds without any sort of narration.
