The story takes place in a small town of Algeria ,in the two last years of the colonial war ;from January 1960 to the Evian agreement and the independence ( on the 3rd of July,1962)via the self- determination referendum and the generals putsch). Boualem and Sahah ,two would be heroes want to join the FLN - National Liberation Front"- ,the rebels who fight in the mountains,much to their parents' fear who are afraid their offspring may be injured among those fighters.
Une petite ville d'Algerie, dans les annees 1960-1962. Deux jeunes garcons oisifs et amateurs de rock, Boualem et Salah, tentent de subsister dans la tourmente de la guerre, en prenant bien soin de ne pas s'engager.
