Léon rentre chez lui pour s'occuper de sa femme, Simone, transformée en légume après un grave accident de voiture. Une seule chose compte pour lui : sa passion pour Boris Lassef, grand metteur en scène et acteur de théâtre. Boris met en scène une nouvelle pièce. Léon assiste aux répétitions et monte Boris contre les acteurs.
