Un soir de réveillon de Noël, Agathe et Gilles se retrouvent bloqués dans l'ascenseur d'un grand magasin. Elle est une femme d'affaires, dynamique mais obsédée par son futur mariage. Lui est un acteur au chômage, râleur et précisément engagé par le grand magasin pour jouer le bon papa Noël. Rien ne les prédestinait à se rencontrer, tout les opposait.
